Lee Mingwei: Seven Stories | Guernica in Sand (2006/2018)
About Guernica in Sand
Guernica in Sand is a large-scale installation by Lee Mingwei, which is inspired by Pablo Picasso's Guernica, a monumental work by Picasso that has become a universal symbol of anti-war and an embodiment of peace. Over a period of three weeks, Lee has recreated the painting in sand and will use it as the basis for an interactive performance, midway through the exhibition.
