Agus Nur Amal, also known by his stage name PM Toh, is an Acehnese storyteller who uses everyday objects as visual and theatrical supports in the storytelling performances.

In this series of Online Storytelling Session, PM Toh will present "Hikayat Waktu", a repertoire about time according to the traditions and ways of life of the Mentawai people in West Sumatra.

In a 45-minute performance, the audience can hear, listen, and engage in the story that tells time as a language of nature. By bringing up local knowledge and traditional practice that have faded and are also shifting, we hope this session can inspire new approaches in sharing stories from various regions in the archipelago.

"Hikayat Waktu" responds to the ideas presented on Present Continuous / Sekarang Seterusnya. In this project, local stories and issues that emerged during a period of a pandemic have served as a catalyst for new approaches of practices and collaborations in contemporary art.

This Online Storytelling Session will be delivered in Indonesian and is suitable for people of all ages.
