1. Kembara Biru
Kembara Biru takes you to explore the boundless sky by making your own carbon-print artwork at home. We will learn the techniques and media explorations of everyday objects done by artist Theresia Agustina Sitompul.

By creating things with your own hands, Kembara Biru invites you to pause and take a short break from the digital screens and rediscover the little things that are near and dear.

This workshop was conducted during the Children’s Art Space Commission 'Theresia Agustina Sitompul: Traveling Blues’ at Museum MACAN in 2022.

2. Inhale.Exhale.Repeat.
Inhale.Exhale.Repeat. is inspired by the performance Eins und Eins (2017) by artist Melati Suryodarmo, where she imagines herself as the embodiment of a disgruntled nation, leaving soul-stirring ink splashes on the walls and floor as the performance ends.

3. Marks of Moments
Marks of Moments is an exercise of being present and getting in tune with your senses. Developed from artist Shooshie Sulaiman’s fascination with rubber, you will explore and create abstract composition through slow, repetitive actions of rubber stamping that encourages you to embrace the unexpected results.

4. Hanging Forest
Nature is essential to our lives. Nature provides the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the inspiration that drives us as a society. Through art-making practice, Hanging Forest is a reminder to be thankful for nature and mindful of our actions towards the environment.

This workshop is from our MACAN Home Education Series inspired by the work Background Story (2004-2019) by artist Xu Bing in ‘Xu Bing: Thought and Method’ exhibition at Museum MACAN in 2019–2020.

5. Toys 'S' Me
Inspired by the artist’s own childhood memory, Toys ‘S’ Me invites you to create and decorate a simple balancing toy using materials that can be found at home.

This workshop was conducted during the ‘Agus Suwage: The Theater of Me’ at Museum MACAN in 2022
