For the husband-and-wife partnership, Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan, their artistic practice and their lives are inseparable. Their museum survey exhibition at Museum MACAN, Somewhere, Elsewhere, Nowhere, displays a variety of installation works developed collaboratively, both as a couple, as a family and with local communities. These works highlight themes around migration, exploring what it means to belong, and how identities are formed through the movement of people.

This MACAN KineTalk session features a film screening followed by a discussion, bringing together practitioners from film production and healthcare to discuss collaborative processes in creating art and the dynamics of healthy relationships.

Pagi Membunuh Bulan (2022), is a film by Ace Raden Desenasuria which centers on Surya, who is recovering from the abrupt end of his relationship with Stephanie. Surya's grief drags on for five years, until he meets Maira who takes him to meet Victoria, a spiritual teacher in Yogyakarta. Victoria guides Surya to heal his inner wound, incorporating a holistic body and soul therapy. Ultimately, Surya's recovery process is rooted in his journey to forgive and recognize the lives within himself.
