About the Program
Korakrit Arunanondchai divides his time between Bangkok, Thailand and New York, the United States of Amerika. His practice combines the Eastern and Western cultures, where he is inspired by pop cultures and global phenomena – among these, is hip hop culture that was influential in his early career.
This edition of #MenulisdiMACAN: Slam-Rhyme-Jam-Time is an open call invitation to writers, performers, and musicians to join us in a freestyle rap session.
The exhibition Korakrit Arunanondchai: Sing Dance Cry Breathe | as their world collides on to the screen explores the nuances of complicated emotions and feelings that are difficult to express openly. Share your memories and experiences of visiting the museum in words, rhymes, and music.
Whether you're an experienced rapper or a curious newcomer, this open mic session is a safe, open platform where anyone and everyone is welcome.
